Timing System: |

| Timing Bars/Gates: The chips are read by readers (antennae) incorporated in gates suspended above the road. Gate height can be increased up to a maximum of 4.20 m. The gates themselves consist of sturdy, wind-proof uprights that support three-sided aluminium frames in which the readers and antennae are suspended. Gates for interim times are also among the possibilities and have a wireless connection with the finish computer. This makes it possible to present split times or speaker information when runners pass through the split gates. These gates are completely self-supporting and can be erected at any location in woodlands or moor land. |

| Starting Numbers: RaceTimer makes use of state-of-the-art RFID chips in the UHF range for time recording. The chip, which is only 8 cm long and 0.5 cm wide, is incorporated in the starting number. Organizers consequently save a great deal of time! Distributing and/or attaching chips to the starting number, collecting them after the race, checking lists and collecting deposits, are all a thing of the past. Things are much easier for the runners too. The actions depicted above are definitely past history. |
